Job Description:
The Vice President of Data and AI is a strategic leadership role
responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of data
and artificial intelligence initiatives across the organization.
This individual will lead the development and implementation of
data-driven solutions, AI models, and advanced analytics to support
business objectives, enhance decision-making, and deliver
innovative products and services. The VP of Data and AI will
oversee cross-functional teams, foster a culture of data
excellence, and ensure the organization leverages cutting-edge
technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision, strategy,
and roadmap for data and AI initiatives, aligning them with
business goals. Champion data and AI as strategic assets to drive
innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with
C-suite and senior leaders to identify opportunities for solving
complex business problems.
- Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, develop, and retain
top talent in data science, machine learning, and analytics. Foster
a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Provide mentorship and ensure team members have the skills and
resources to succeed.
- Data and AI Product Development: Oversee the design,
development, and deployment of AI models and data-driven solutions.
Integrate AI and data capabilities into products and platforms.
Promote best practices in data governance, quality, and
security.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with product,
engineering, and business teams to identify opportunities for
enhancing products and customer experiences. Collaborate with IT to
ensure scalable and secure data platforms. Work with stakeholders
across sales, marketing, finance, and operations to deliver
actionable insights and drive data-informed decisions.
- Performance Measurement and Improvement: Establish KPIs to
measure the effectiveness of data and AI initiatives. Continuously
optimize models for accuracy, scalability, and business impact.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to
maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science,
Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master's or
Ph.D.) preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in data science, AI, or
related fields, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of building and scaling data and AI teams
and delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
- Experience with advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI
technologies, including Python, R, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
tools.
- Experience in managing data platforms, reusable data products,
DataOps, MLOps, model training, and reinforcement learning
capabilities.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and
integration concepts.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google
Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Databricks, MS Fabric) is a
plus.

- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the
ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all
levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and
prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with SQL, data visualization tools, and
other analytics platforms to derive insights and make data-driven
decisions.
- Passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends in
data and AI.
