Job DescriptionWhat will you do?

• Leads the detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts during security incidents.
• Mentors and guides SOC analysts and incident responders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Develops and maintains incident response plans, playbooks, and procedures.
• Collaborates with threat intelligence teams to stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conducts regular training and tabletop exercises to test planning effectiveness.
• Conduct post-incident analysis to identify root cause analysis.
• Prepares and presents incident reports to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting lessons learned and recommendations for improvement.
• Analyses past incidents to identify trends and areas for enhancement in the incident response process.What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity including 5+ years focus on incident response.
  • Deep proficiency in incident response tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, endpoint detection).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience of acting as the on-call Incident Commander, responsible for driving and managing incident resolution with a high level of urgency, cross-functional collaboration, and accuracy, including working with government agencies.
  • Experience of managing the on-call Incident Commander.
  • Strong communication, coaching and mentoring skills. Able to communicate effectively in high pressure and time sensitive situations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong research skills to investigate technically demanding alerts/incidents.
  • Ability to mentor IR teams and develop skills to the wider business.
