CNC Machinist

1st shift 7am- 3:30pm

Pay range: $28-$34/hr Depending on experience



Essential Functions

Set up and operate various CNC machine tools in accordance with company policy, procedures, and time standards.
Perform various repetitive production machining operations using the ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches and work instructions.
Inspect parts produced.
Transmit and receive CNC programs, maintain computerized and/or manual production records.
Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to other employees.
Perform other duties as required.



Required Competencies

Attention to detail.
Ability to work with colleagues in a professional and cooperative manner.
Good communication skills, both written and oral.
General computer skills.



Physical Demands

Visual acuity (corrected) to read documents, drawings, instructions and to inspect machined parts.
Stand, move about the shop floor, talk, hear, bend, squat, kneel, and reach with hands and arms.
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.



Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent
Technical or vocational school background is helpful
5-10 Years in a Manufacturing environment
