Massachusetts.What youll do:Responsibilities/Duties:Promotes
maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies
according to individual's physical capacity, intelligence level,
and interest.Provide comprehensive patient evaluations that set
realistic short- and long-term goals, plans.Prepares patient for
return to all aspects of daily living including home and employment
by determining potential difficulties and implementing treatment
plans to address all areas.Evaluates results of occupational
therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress,
recommending, and implementing adjustments and
modifications.Maintains appropriate patient case load to meet
company required metrics of 60-65 pts/week for a 40-hour work
week.Participate in monthly staff meetings.Supervise COTA, OT/COTA
students as needed.Completes discharges and all paperwork in timely
manner and consults with physicians, nurses, and other health care
workers; contributing to patient care conferences as needed.Assures
continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing
and instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise
programsMaintains patient confidence and protects facility
operations by keeping information confidential.Upholds a safe and
clean working environment by complying with procedures and
infection control guidelines.Keeps up with professional and
technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing
professional publications, participating in professional
societies.Complies with federal, state, and local legal and
certification requirements.Fabrication of custom splints and UE
orthotics.Maintains all inventory for splinting and patient
needs.Reports to Occupational Therapy Lead.Performs other duties as
assigned.Who you are:Qualifications:Must have graduated and
completed professional Occupational Therapy training from an
accredited program leading to, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree.Must
maintain current state Licensure through the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts Allied Health Division of Professional Licensure.Must
be CPR certified.Must have strong hand therapy and orthopedic
experience, comfort with splinting, CHT preferred.Familiarity with
HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and other
regulatory policies.Knowledge of common safety hazards and
precautions to establish a safe working environment.Ability to
interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.Develop and
maintain effective and professional working relationships with
patients, medical staff, coworkers and the public by displaying
sympathy, tact and understanding.Must be a team player with a
positive attitude, adjust to various personalities, work with a
diverse population, demonstrating patience and
professionalism.Represents the clinic in a professional
manner.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on all patient
