Description:PromptCare is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Respiratory Therapist Assistant to join our team. The (RTA) is responsible for non-clinical patient follow-up visits and updating information in the electronic medical records (EMR) and it also requires experience monitoring of medical equipment. This is an entry level respiratory support position with growth potential within the Respiratory department. This is a hands-on supportive position, which is customer service oriented, in a fast-paced environment. To learn more about our company, please visit PromptCare In-home Respiratory and InfusionReporting to: Departmental Lead, Supervisor or ManagerJob Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm with on-call responsibilitiesLocation: Westwood, MARequirements:High school diploma or equivalent experience in related fieldBLS Certification from AHA or Red CrossValid Drivers licenseClean Driving recordAt least one year of home care, critical care, LTAC or long-term care experience (preferred)Mechanical Ventilator and Pediatric experience are a major advantageMust have solid working knowledge of charting in EMRGeneral knowledge of medical equipment (preferred)Must be detail oriented, have a solid work ethic, be highly organizedMust have excellent written and oral communication skillsJob Responsibilities, included but not limited to:Data entry and scanning into patient charting systemUpdate visit spreadsheets, and shared document files as directedCompletes non-clinical follow-ups and completes documentation in EMRDocument and maintain updates for all patient visitsConducts in-person monthly or quarterly follow-up visitsExchange medical equipment under the supervision of the respiratory therapistParticipates in the On-Call ProgramMust follow infection control practices and PPE policies established by the companyStaging of ventilator set-ups and other equipment under the supervision of RTOther duties as assignedPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
