Medical and Scientific Strategy business in Boston, MA.About

focuses on helping biopharmaceutical clients create clinical and

return.Position OverviewYou will routinely act as lead on client
accounts and projects of increasing complexity, with responsibility
for ensuring timely, high-quality completion of all deliverables
associated with assigned projects. You will lead multiple projects
concurrently and may oversee a portfolio of projects. You will
participate in or lead special, internally oriented projects that
advance Prescient's capabilities and infrastructure, such as new
team training, new systems or applications, new methodologies, or
other tools. You will lead proposal development and other business
development activities. You will generate new client contacts and
business opportunities for Prescient. This position requires an
understanding of the evolving biopharmaceutical market and trends.
Knowledge of drug development and commercialization is also

join a start-up team with an established client base and play an
important role in developing and implementing its growth strategy.
You will be responsible for executing successful advisory
engagements across our clients' product and company life cycles,
and for growing revenue within both new and existing accounts. As
your clients will mainly be in the US, the Director position
requires a thorough understanding of evolving biopharma trends in
these markets. Many projects will also involve global client
stakeholders; therefore, knowledge of drug development and
commercialization in other markets is also desirable.The following

Project Activities:
- Win and lead projects
- Build and nurture high-value, long-term relationships with
clients, while managing and coaching project teams
- Act as the go-to-person for clients by establishing credible
strategic advisory to senior-level clients
- Lead, stretch, and inspire a team of engagement managers and
consultants to deliver high quality insight-led strategic projects
effectively, efficiently, and profitably
- Think beyond the project, with a constant eye on opportunities
to help build and expand client relationships, add value to brands
and businesses, and deliver on our account growth modelResearch:
- Exhibit strong primary and secondary research methodologies.
Lead executive-level client 1:1 stakeholder calls
- Effectively pressure-test internal team data gathering and
share analogues to help team pressure test their own
thinkingAnalytical and Insight Leadership:
- Frame key deliverables and provide guidance on the type of
potential analyses.
- Identify thought leadership topics across project
experiences
- Form hypotheses with limited information and maintain a
balanced view to ensure all avenues are evaluated throughout the
project
- Drive complex quantitative surveys/Excel forecasts
- Provide guidance on potential pivot points and key pieces of
data to swing analyses with limited knowledge of the effort
- Tackle unfamiliar analytical problems and work with others to
brainstorm and drive solutions for team execution
- Simplify thinking for others to make analysis and other
deliverables and insights more accessible to clients
- Lead the generation of at least 3 pieces of thought leadership
per yearCommunication:
- Provide best-in-class written communication. Use an engaging
presentation style and foster dialog with clients that employs a
"seek to understand" mindset
- Proactively drive internal meetings and articulate key topics
for team consideration. When assigned, act as primary presenter for
client meetings
- Develop executive summary/strategic implications that can be
shared directly with the client.
- Develop proposal documents. Deliver major milestone client
meetings with gravitas
- Generate new opportunities outside of presentations, such as
through informal conversations with clients
- Conduct plenary sessions at conferencesWorkstream Management:
- Develop workplans for assigned projects
- Proactively set meetings with broader team
- Effectively communicate on deliverable timing and key questions
needed to complete assigned work
- Identify key points of internal and external feedback and
incorporate them into future deliverables
- Estimate reliably how long tasks will take other team
members
- Provide direction to junior staff as needed
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Leverage other colleagues / project team members effectively to
disseminate information and mobilise the rest of the team. Serve as
the backstop for others in ensuring quality control of all work
deliverables and client interactionsTeam Contributions:
- Help to shape the strategic direction of the organization

- Create demand for more work from existing clients (at least 3
client accounts per year). Generate credibility and traction with
new clients through business development / proposal work (at least

- Hire, develop, and retain diverse talent on your team.Required
Experience and Skills
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in life sciences with 6 or
more years' relevant professional experience in a corporate /
business or consulting environment, which may include pharma
consulting, pharma business intelligence, pharma data analytics,
etc. 2 or more years' experience working in oncology, immunology,
or biosimilars is strongly preferred. An advanced degree may be
required
- Significant experience in the same or related therapeutic area
or other specialist area of assignment, including the clinical,
regulatory, and commercial aspects of markets globally, especially
in the EU and US, understanding of new drug commercialization,
competitive dynamics and key success factors and business
practices, networking with investigators (KOLs and key trialists).
A mix of industry and consulting experience is strongly
preferred
- Regarded as a subject matter expert in life sciences and own
area of specialization
- People management (direct reports) experience with 4 or more
years' experience managing others
- Demonstrated thought leadership in area of specialization,
e.g., patents, new constructs or methodologies, publications,
speaking events, conferences, leadership role in a professional
association, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of our business and the fundamental
practices, principles, and tools used in management consulting, as
evidenced by increasing independence in completing assigned
work
- Sound knowledge of our clients and their needs and objectives,
as evidenced by increased speed and accuracy in delivering assigned
work and the ability to suggest value-added opportunities
- Strong knowledge of the life sciences industry, including drug
development and approval processes, clinical trials, and patient
segments, and is able to parlay this into consistently effective
Medical deliverables
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA, EMA and
other relevant regulations and guidelines, and applicable
international regulatory requirements
- Strong knowledge of our competitors, our differentiators, and
value proposition
- Customer & Quality Centricity: demonstrable client-centric and
quality-oriented mindset and approach with a high level of
attention-to-detail
- Communication: strong communication skills, both written and
verbal. Able to develop and deliver strategic communications for
own function in a manner that conveys a compelling business case,

this role is ($200,000 - $230,000). Specific compensation is
determined through interviews and a review of relevant education,
