Business Systems ManagerWho We Are:Veson Nautical is a well-established and rapidly growing software company working to provide end-to-end logistical, operational, and analytical solutions to propel the efficiency and effectiveness of Maritime Commerce.The Opportunity:As the Business Systems Manager at Veson Nautical, you will lead a team of Business Systems Analysts charged with the responsibility of integrating, managing, and advising on critical line-of-business (LOB) systems. Reporting to the Associate Director of Information Technology, you'll oversee the identification and documentation of business requirements, map business processes, and guide the development of system architecture. Your expertise will be key in scaling systems, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with data security and privacy standards. You'll also play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction of Veson's business systems to maximize efficiency and value.Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of business systems analysts, fostering professional growth and aligning team goals with organizational objectives to ensure successful project delivery.
• Analyze business issues, define system requirements, and design automated solutions to optimize operations across departments. Recommend system controls and technologies to address organizational challenges.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to define, develop, and enhance custom reports, workflows, and analyses that drive data-informed business decisions.
• Oversee system integration, ensuring streamlined workflows and eliminating redundancies to improve efficiency and support business needs.
• Ensure business systems meet compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001) in collaboration with IT leadership, continually improving for optimal security and performance.
• Develop a unified data strategy that ensures a single source of truth, reduces manual data entry errors, and improves information sharing across the organization.
• Manage user account management and system performance, ensuring security policies, compliance, and proactive issue resolution.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, resolving system-related issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business workflows.
• Create and maintain internal technical documentation and system integration procedures, ensuring standards are followed for process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Support organizational change management, ensuring smooth transitions during system updates or changes, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure effective user adoption.Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis or related roles, with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience leading teams and developing talent, with a strong focus on aligning systems solutions with organizational goals and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Extensive experience with SaaS software administration, including evaluating, implementing, and optimizing systems to support diverse business needs.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills, with a track record of delivering strategic systems solutions at the enterprise level.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams, engage with cross-functional stakeholders, and produce clear, actionable documentation.
  • Expertise in developing scalable, standardized procedures for system integration, performance management, and process optimization.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, including defining milestones, tracking progress, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
