AnalystLocation: Boston, MAJob Id: 393# of Openings: 1Geode Capital
Management is seeking a dedicated individual to join the Data
Operations Team as an Associate Data Analyst. The Associate Data
Analyst will play a primary role in ensuring our key data assets
are complete, accurate, and ready for use by the firm on a daily
basis. The individual will triage issues as they arise, escalate
when appropriate, and execute any required corrective action.
Through investigation and coordination with teams across the firm,
the Analyst is expected to proactively improve the quality of our
data and processes. In this role, the Analyst will become a "go-to"
expert on investment data sets while supporting Portfolio
Management, Trading, Research and other internal stakeholders.This
is a hybrid work environment opportunity located in Boston,
Massachusetts with a weekly in-office schedule of Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Thursdays and remote work availability on Mondays
and Fridays.Who Are You?

- Serve as operational data steward for multiple sets of data
assets including Security Reference, Index, and Market data
- Validate the day-to-day completeness, accuracy and quality of
all data used in the investment process
- Identify possible data anomalies and research the root
causes
- Triage problems and flag critical issues for escalation to
appropriate parties both internal and external
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business for clear
resolutions
- Develop metrics, validations, reports/dashboards to evaluate
and monitor data quality
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data pipelines
- Identify ways to streamline our processes and automate standard
maintenance
- Take ownership of data quality and integrity in new initiatives
and projects across the firm
- Perform operational duties to support both Technology and
Business teams as requiredSkills You Bring:
- 4+ years of related experience in investment operations
- BS/MS (Economics, Finance, Computer Science or related
major)
- Strong technical background and the ability to work
independently
- Strong SQL experience (minimum 3 years)
- Experience working with various asset classes including
equities, fixed-income securities, and derivatives
- Security, Index, or any other Master Data Management (MDM)
Experience
- Flexibility to cover the morning (6:00am - 3:00pm) or afternoon
(10:00am-7:00pm) shifts on a rotational basis
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Databases, Snowflake,
Python
- High attention to detail and supreme quality, while balancing
both practicality and value-creation
- Experience with Jira or similar Agile management toolsCompany
