Job Description:Job DescriptionSenior Manager - Production Support,
Data Governance and Operations -The RoleThe Fidelity Brokerage Data
Aggregation Technology Team is seeking a Senior Manager to lead an
operational function that performs end-user support, development
operations oversight, data analysis, and ensures compliance with
general IT controls for a portfolio of software solutions. The
candidate will become a subject matter expert on customer financial
transaction data, lead a team of analysts that provide first level
support for incidents and problems, perform trend analysis and KPI
measurement for the effectiveness of the operations function. The
candidate will also be responsible for working with related
technology partners to drive the resolution of complex system
issues that require escalation and resolution. The candidate will
also become a master of the data elements associated with retail
and correspondent trading, cash management and spending, workplace
investing, charitable gifts, and other benefits related datasets. A
strong candidate will have some background in Postman,
brokerage-related concepts, database querying, and overall data
management. The candidate must also have experience with the agile
development methodology, project management-related best practices,
and leadership. - -This position is based in Boston, MA. -The
candidate will be expected to work in the Boston office 10-days per
month to align with our team's scheduled connect weeks. All
remaining working hours can be in-office or remote based on the
candidate's preference.Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a queue of incident and problem tickets
associated with the Data Aggregation product. The Senior Manager
will work with Analysts to review each incident, perform research,
and liaise with technology partners to quickly troubleshoot and
resolve issues.
- Participate in projects to build operational dashboards
specific to change, problem, and incident management for our
platforms.
- Establish operational KPIs and drive to team to operate
efficiently to achieve targets.
- Partner with technology teams to recommend operational
improvements that will reduce incident volumes and eliminate
reoccurring issues.
- Help to build a controls framework to ensure those datasets
have the highest possible quality rating.
- Understand and document current state data definitions, scope,
and process flows associated with our platform.
- Work collaboratively with appropriate Tech teams to manage
security mechanisms and data access governance.
- Contribute ideas and information to solution design
discussions.
- Become a subject matter expert on data content, scope, and
business process flows related to our platform.
- Oversee and implement process improvement initiatives specific
to data management and operational support.
- Facilitate meetings in an organized and efficient manner.
- Ensure the technology capabilities are responsive to the needs
of the business objectives.The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree plus at least 5 years of experience in
operational support or data analytics, or Master's Degree plus at
least 3 years in support or data analytics.
- Experience leading teams and driving strategy.
- Scripting experience in SQL and familiarity with both
relational and non-relational databases.
- Strong desire and experience with data in various forms (data
warehouses/SQL, unstructured data)
- Experience with AWS Services, APIs, data analysis, and related
software including Postman, Python, and Snowflake is
preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience working with concepts and
practices within the financial services industry.
