We are proudly building a work environment where you can bring your authentic self to work.Due to the nature of our project work, we can only consider candidates with a current US Citizenship.Day to Day ResponsibilitiesInvestigate fundamental topics in a scientific field such as signal processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, physics and/or mathSelect, improve, or design computational modelsIdentify relevant research approaches, hypotheses to be tested, and program milestones to achieve all program objectives with project and/or proposal teamsProvide scientific, technical and software design support to projects and proposalsDesign experiments to test and validate computational modelsAnalyze experimental results using sound scientific principlesEstablish and maintain a professional rapport with all project stakeholders (internal and external)Additional project and proposal duties as assignedAdditional Responsibilities:Occasional travel to attend and present at customer meetings and essential industry conferencesPrepare technical briefing materials/summarize technical work and progress of projectsCollaborate with company leadership and senior technical staff to conduct proposal research and proposal writingPublish technical reports based on original or improved algorithms created to solve the application challengesMaintain high standards at work, continuously looking for solutions to improve processes and productsDevelop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside the organization to achieve Boston Fusion business goalsDemonstrate personal accountability, effective work habits, integrity, and ethical behavior that align with Boston Fusion corporate valuesMay perform other duties as requiredRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field, with 8+ years of experience; Master's degree with 6+ years of experience; PhD with 4+ years of experienceExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize and manage time effectivelyExcellent communication, writing and presentation skillsAbility to work both collaboratively and independentlyDemonstrates strong competency in every category and a mastery of at least one categoryDemonstrated competency in radar, signal processing, human-machine systems, computer vision, AI/ML, or other technical disciplineExperience implementing modeling and analysis techniques, including machine learning, operations research, optimization, control theory, probabilistic modeling, etc.Understanding of mathematical principles which underlie these modeling methods.Experience in implementing algorithms in standard programming languages such as Python, Java, C++.Experience in using sound software development techniques, e.g., testing, documentation, source control.Preferred Technical QualificationsClassical applied probabilistic, mathematical, and/or artificial intelligence methods (planning, searching, logic, uncertain knowledge, probabilistic reasoning, natural language processing)Radar signal processing techniquesMachine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Keras) and concepts (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, active, and reinforcement learning; neural networks; generative, discriminative models)Preferred Domain Knowledge6+ years of experience applying technology to US Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community problems, including but not limited to the following: intelligence analysis, command and control, logistics, ISR, information operations, missile defense, operations in the cyber, space, or maritime domains2+ years of experience in a research leadership roleWork Authorization/Security Clearance RequirementsU.S. citizenship and DoD security clearance (REQUIRED)PI263c22b59360-25660-36297929
