Job Title: CT Technologist Job Specialty: Computed Tomography (CT) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday 9 AM - 9:30 PM, Saturday 7 AM - 7:30 PM, Sunday 7 AM - 7:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Massachusetts state license, ARRT (CT) Certifications: ARRT (CT), BLS Must-Have: - IV certification or competency - Ability to work independently Job Description: - Follow hospital protocols for exam routines and produce quality studies efficiently and on time. - Competent operation of all departmental equipment or request training as needed. - Properly prepare CT scanner and run quality assurance; set up injector, PACs units, and Meditech. - Complete CT procedures and tasks efficiently, including providing feedback to patients and cleaning the room. - Adjust and manipulate images to required specifications, including windowing, contrast, and algorithm application. - Knowledge of scanners, Med Rad injector, PACS, VRC, and Powerscribe. - Select proper scanning levels based on field of scan and organ selection. - Ensure all scans are correctly identified anatomically, with appropriate information such as name, date, order in place, contrast volume, and lot number. - Perform administrative tasks related to procedures such as tech edits, escorting patients, and room preparation. - Notify the Coordinator or delegate about any equipment malfunctions. - Report findings to physicians and other relevant departments or units. - Access and restore prior exams for radiologist and VRC as necessary. - Ensure rooms are stocked and request orders when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of work areas. - Perform clerical duties as necessary to maintain workflow and quality expectations.
