Small Description:
The Group supports the Missile Defense Agency in the development,
deployment, testing, and enhancement of the nation's missile
defense system. This system is currently being developed, to defend
the United States, deployed forces, and allies from missile
attacks. This group performs detailed system and component
engineering, flight and ground test analysis, and advanced
capability development in collaboration with the contractors and
government program offices that are building the missile defense
elements and components. The group has a need for a Systems
Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to support the analysis
of future system requirements. The engineer will manage, develop,
update and run system models and simulation tools to evaluate
missile defense system performance and support algorithm
development.
Job Responsibilities:
Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation
frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and
command and control models. Develops software that simulates
behavior of users and systems. Develops, integrates and uses
graphical user interfaces and visualization tools. Models
operational environments, performs trade studies via computer
simulation and provides decision support for alternative
architectures. Performs operational analysis and mission
effectiveness analysis. May build and design training models.
Required Skills:
The candidate must have 5 year(s) of experience in data analysis
using MATLAB;
Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems 2 years
GUI Development 2 years
Candidates should be well versed in modeling and simulation and
trade studies and analysis
Experience or background in RF analysis
Ability to work well independently as well as with a team
Must possess excellent communication skills
Desired Skills:
Experience with analysis of ballistic missiles is highly
desired
MATLAB Signal Processing Techniques (Fourier Transformations,
filters, etc.) desired
Qualifications:
Education/Professional Certifications
Bachelor's degree; Masters degree is a plus.
Others:
Education: MS degree in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical
Engineering, or other STEM field. Plus 10 years' experience.
Clearance: Candidates must possess an active secret clearance to be
considered for this position.
Work location: Hybrid - Candidates must be local to Lexington. Must
be willing and able to work onsite. Estimated WFH 1/day per
week.
