Schedule: Full-Time Salary Range: USD $64000.00 - $152000.00 Job Category: Underwriting Pay Philosophy The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role. Description Assesses risks and makes underwriting recommendations for commercial properties as a NAS Property Underwriter in the wholesale property department. This role involves collaborating with wholesale brokers and seeking support from leadership while developing underwriting skills and fostering essential internal and external relationships. This is a hybrid position. If you are residing within 50 miles of the Boston, MA office, you will be required to come in two days per week. Please note that this requirement is subject to change. Responsibilities Focuses on building relationships with key external parties within the commercial property space. Manages a portfolio of brokers and client broker agents within the NAS property department of the GRS. Develops underwriting skills and builds relationships with internal stakeholders and partners (e.g., UW Support, Claims, Actuarial, Directors of Underwriting in GRS North America, etc.), using understanding of how these teams work together to inform underwriting decisions. Continues building underwriting expertise using both internal and external resources. Executes - and may contribute to - marketing plans. Contributes to team projects (e.g., process / tool improvement). May contribute to the analysis of team`s portfolio. May manage the quality of data within relevant systems for the book of business that the team is responsible for underwriting. May provide on-the-job support for new hires.
