Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prepared Foods Team Lead to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our prepared foods department, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader: Collaborate with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and assist in the analysis of sales reports and labor.
• Develop and Maintain Store Layout: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.
• Lead and Develop Team Members: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain awareness of regulatory and safety policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Communicate Effectively: Consistently communicate and model WFM vision and goals, and maintain awareness of customer flows and needs to direct Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy; growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership; excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
