Job Title: Applications Developer and Technical SupportBusiness Unit: AdministrationDepartment: ITReports to: IT DirectorFLSA: ExemptClassification: Regular Full-Time (35 hours)Grade: 10Salary Range: $47,431 - $60,000 (commensurate with experience)Offering a Sign-On Bonus: $1,000SUMMARY OVERVIEWApplication development involves the process, life cycle and creation of the software aimed at helping users complete a computer task or program. Developers work closely with computer analysts and engineers in using languages such as C#, Visual Basic, .NET, Java to develop the necessary specifications for software. Developers may also test, debug and improve generally faulty applications for clients.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEssential Job functions: Duties ___1___ through ___7___ are designated as ADA Essential Functions and must be performed in this job. All other job duties are secondary functions.

• Responsibilities vary for developers based on level of experience, type of application platform and employer.
• Develop and implement new software programs.
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software.
• Document every aspect of the application or system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades.
• Train and support the Agency staff in using applications like Vendor Management System, SIMS, MS Office, email, etc.
• Create, review and analyze reports based on user requirements.
• Support MIS Help Desk by providing desktop support live and on-call to end-users both on-site and off-site.
• Perform other duties and projects as required.COMPETENCIES

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.TRAVELThis position requires minimal travel.REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields or equivalent experience.
    • General Programming Skills, Software Design, Debugging, Testing and problem solving.
    • At least 2-3 years of experience working as a Software Developer.
    • Ability to develop software in C, C++, C#, Java or other selected languages.
    • Familiarity with reporting services such as SQL and Microsoft Access is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of the Harmony SIMS, SAMS and Mobile Assessment application modules is a plus.
    • Must have at least 1 year of ASAP (Aging Services Access Point) industry experience.
