System Administrator -RTX will sponsor a clearance, job will be
split between Portsmouth, RI and Marlborough MA location, 100%

safer, more secure world. - Principal System Administrator (SME) in
Program Digital Services, collaborate with a diverse team to
support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information
system capabilities. Success in this role means you are able to
develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments
across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your
collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and
create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure
problems. What You Will Do:
- As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), possessing in-depth knowledge
of at least 1 OSs (Windows, Linux, etc.) you will have extensive
experience in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and
maintain both Linux and Windows Servers, Desktops, and Virtual
Environment of a large-scale enterprise network whose systems are
operational 24x7x365.
- Play a crucial role in building, hardening, and sustaining the
reliability and security of the server and desktop infrastructures
and virtual environments.
- Collaborate and partner across Digital Technology and
program(s), to deliver cost effective software and hardware
solutions that meet current and future needs while following
industry best practices.
- Integrate and partner with customer(s), engineers, storage
architects, system administrators, network engineering, tools and
high-performance computing teams to solve complex infrastructure
problems.
- Monitor and maintain the entire system lifecycle to include
hardware and software refreshes and updates, licensing, and
maintenance/support agreements while taking a leadership role in
efforts to budget, order, and implement replacements.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements (DFARS, RMF, NIST
Cybersecurity Framework) in partnership with Cybersecurity
professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. -
- Respond to service and support requests from users, ensuring
all work is tracked and documented while delivering world class
customer service.
- Support occasional efforts (planned and unplanned) that may
require work beyond and outside standard work hours with the
potential of up to 10% travel.
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD)
8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ or
equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of
prior relevant experience or a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant
experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S.
citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) &
Desktop OSs (10,11) or RedHat Enterprise Linux (7,8,9)
- Experience with ESXi and VMWare virtualization
technologies.
- Experience with secure system configurations, system hardening,
application settings, and configuring customized user
experiences.
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong leadership, teamwork, communication (written and oral),
collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience with ADDS, DFS, WDS, WSUS, MECM/SCCM, MDT, PXE, PKI,
Group Policy, Kerberos, Microsoft IIS, SQL, Skype, and
Exchange.
- Experience with Linux and Windows integration tools (Centrify,
Samba, SSSD, NIS).
- Experience with virtualization, VMWare vCenter, vSphere,
Horizon, and ESXi and/or other virtual computing methods.
- Experience with monitoring and compliance assessment tools,
vulnerability scanning, and auditing tools (ACAS, Splunk, Nessus,
SCAP, STIG, Ivanti, Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Experience with CMMC, NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or
DoD/RMF.
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Python, and
C Languages).
- Experience with automation tools/frameworks (Terraform,
Ansible, Chef, GitLab, Gitlab Runner).
- Experience with developer tools (Git, Artifactory, Bitbucket,
CI/CD tools, Jira).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Docker Desktop,
Kubernetes, PODMAN Desktop).
- Experience with Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).

- Learn More & Apply Now! The salary range for this role is
82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited
to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a
candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key
skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including
