Job Description:

*Job Title:* Nuclear Medicine Technologist*Location:* Boston, MA 02199*Shift Timing: *8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday*Hours per week:* 40 Hours Per Week*Duration: *13 Weeks of contract*Key Responsibilities:* Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following established safety guidelines. Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture diagnostic images. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures while explaining processes clearly. Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals. Process and analyze imaging data, ensuring accurate diagnostic information. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards. Adhere to radiation safety protocols and proper handling of radioactive materials. Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results and contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment plans. Follow infection control and biohazard safety procedures. Participate in continuous education and training programs to stay updated with advancements in nuclear medicine.*Qualifications & Requirements:* Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field. Certification by the *Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)* or *American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (N)*. State licensure (if required by location of practice). Experience in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including PET/CT and SPECT scanners. Strong knowledge of radiation safety and handling radioactive materials. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care. Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team. BLS/CPR certification (preferred).*Preferred Qualifications:* Experience in an accredited hospital or imaging center. Additional certifications in CT or MRI.
