1 year of experience may be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on
bonus.New hires with less than 1 year of experience may be eligible
for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.The Sonographer is responsible for the
following:Performs routine ultrasound examinations as prescribed by
a physician.Reviews and evaluates requisitions for ultrasound
imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and
determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis
and clinical signs for routine examinations.Selects appropriate
equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal
anatomy.Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional
status and ability to respond to instructions and develops plan for
adjusting to patients' specific needs.Follows QC/Data Integrity
Workflow process.Practices High Reliability Communication
techniques.Responds to the uniqueness and clinical condition of the
patient.Creates a supportive environment for the patient and the
family.Promotes a positive work environment in compliance with
ETU.Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions.Assists senior
technologists in organizing and maintaining daily operations of
section.Provides instruction on pediatric ultrasound procedures and
techniques to residents, fellows, and students as
requested.Participates in departmental and hospital
meetings.Completes all required documentation accurately and in a
timely manner.Complies with ETU.Practices BCH 6 Core Values:

procedures.The Sonographer must have the following:Registered
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)Associates degree in
