OverviewJoin our dedicated team as an Occupational Therapist at
Melmark New England, where you will provide clinical occupational
therapy services to individuals. You will manage treatment through
direct therapeutic services, track information, and offer
consultative services as needed. This role is ideal for a skilled
therapist who can work with children, adolescents, and adults with
autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injuries, neurological
diseases, and comorbid mental health disorders. You will implement
highly technical clinical and teaching programs, requiring constant
alertness, attentiveness, and readiness to respond to students'
needs.Occupational Therapist RequirementsGraduate of an approved
Occupational Therapy Program with a Bachelor's or Master's
degreeCurrent licensure for occupational therapy in
MassachusettsMinimum of two (2) years of occupational therapy
experience preferredOccupational Therapist ResponsibilitiesProvide
direct clinical occupational therapy services to Melmark New
England individualsManage treatment through direct therapeutic
services, tracking information, and offering consultative services
as neededUse and maintain student adaptive equipment and
augmentative devices, filing incident reports immediately if any
defectsCollect data accurately and demonstrate good problem-solving
skills while working with studentsImplement IEP objectives as
written and designed, ensuring maximum independence growthConduct
IOA on therapy-related programs with staff a minimum of one time
per monthConduct thorough assessments/screenings upon student
admission and complete discharge summaries as neededComplete
service delivery on a weekly basis, recording missed services and
