$15,000.00Location: Boston and NorwoodThe Sports Medicine
Department works with athletes of all ages to treat and prevent
sports injuries and help them return to the activities they love.
Over 45,000 athletes are seen in our clinics every year. The
department provides life changing surgeries and management of
acute/chronic orthopedic issues.The Sports Medicine Radiographer
will be responsible for:Reviews and evaluates requisitions for
Diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts
and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given
diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.Selects
appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic
and normal anatomy.Assesses patients' and parents' physical and
emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop
a care plan for that patients' specific needs.Explain the
examination and is able to answer questions from patient and
parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices
ALARA.Follows Departmental QC/Data Integrity Workflow.Practices
High Reliability Training.Responds to the uniqueness of the
patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the
family.Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions through the
INeedit application.Assists in organizing and maintaining daily
operations.Participates in departmental and hospital
meetings.Completes all required documentation accurately and in a
timely manner.Complies with ETU and HIPAA regulations.Performing
radiology procedures in a busy pediatric Radiology
department.Assuring quality results and communicating the relevance
of the results to other health care professionals.In order to
qualify, you must have the following:An Associate's degree in
Radiologic TechnologyMA Radiographer license and ARRT
