Verve is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.The PositionVerve Therapeutics is seeking a passionate and motivated Senior Associate, Informatics who is eager to contribute to therapeutic research through implementing Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) solutions adhering to FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) guiding principles for scientific data management and governance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digitalization of the laboratory and a deep understanding of how it's best deployed within a research organization.Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert in Benchling to provide training and assistance to users within the organization.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions within the ELN platform to bolster our laboratory operations and research projects.
  • Partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to understand and translate complex scientific concepts into actionable informatics solutions.
  • Provide strategic oversight of system integrations, ensuring seamless interoperability across scientific information systems while maintaining best practices in architecture, security, and platform development.
  • Manage, enhance, and integrate scientific informatics platforms to improve data accessibility, streamline workflows, and support research and development efforts.
  • Leverage deep understanding of scientific processes to develop and implement informatics solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and innovation in scientific operations.
  • Partner with scientific subject matter expert to enhance laboratory automation by helping to convert instrument outputs into standardized data models to streamline downstream analysis and integration with ELN.
  • Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or related field with 2+ years of experience working on LIMS/ELN related programs and Benchling. Strong proficiency in SQL and building various schemas within Benchling.
    • Exposure to various Benchling modules including workflows, registry, inventory, and lab automation.
    • Demonstrated capacity to comprehend scientific processes and workflows to subsequently craft solutions, based on product knowledge and industry best practices.
    • Strong knowledge and comprehension of lab automation workflows and processes.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and implement creative solutions.
    • Excellent communication, teaching, and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.Don't check off every box in the requirements listed above?
