The experienced Nurse Director Labor and Delivery is sought for a renowned healthcare facility located just outside of Boston, MA. This pivotal Leadership role requires a highly experienced Nurse Leader to oversee and guide the Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and NICU departments, ensuring exceptional care is delivered to mothers and newborns while fostering an environment of professional growth and operational excellence.The hospital is known for compassionate care and a commitment to excellence in Maternal and Child health. With a strong focus on both clinical and family-centered care, the facility provides an exceptional experience for patients and staff in a supportive and innovative environment.The Nurse Director Labor and Delivery will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Labor and Delivery Nurses, Postpartum Nurses, Neonatal Intensive Care unit (NICU) staff, Obstetricians, Anesthesiologists, Pediatricians, Social Workers, Lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to implement patient care strategies and meet organizational goals.The Nurse Director Labor and Delivery oversees a dedicated team of 65+ FTEs across Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and a comprehensive NICU, ensuring the highest standard of care for both mothers and newborns. Responsibilities include providing strategic Leadership to deliver optimal patient care while maintaining operational efficiency, mentoring a multidisciplinary team, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
