  • Community: Join a diverse, passionate team that (golf on a Thursday, Soccer once a month, movie nights whenever we fancy it).We are looking for a Events & Community Manager whose mission is to be the driving force behind impactful trade shows, field marketing initiatives, and industry community engagement, strengthening Automata's presence and connections in the lab automation space.Why is this role important for Automata?There is a need for an Events & Community Manager to amplify Automata's mission of empowering scientists by making automation a reality for every lab. This role will ensure an impactful presence at trade shows and field marketing events drives awareness and adoption while fostering a strong, engaged industry community that advances lab automation.In this role you will be responsible for:
    • Collaborate cross-functionally (30%) - Align with sales, pre-sales, product, and marketing teams.
    • Plan & execute events (20%) - Manage trade shows, conferences, and field marketing initiatives.
    • Support lead generation (15%) - Develop field marketing programs to boost awareness and sales.
    • Drive community engagement (15%) - Build relationships with scientists, partners, and industry leaders.
    • Create event content (10%) - Develop messaging and materials for pre- and post-event engagement.
    • Manage vendors & partners (5%) - Oversee logistics with external agencies and event organizers.
    • Measure impact (5%) - Track event and community performance to optimize future efforts.What it takes:
      • Event Management: Proven experience planning and executing trade shows, conferences, and field marketing events.
      • Community Engagement: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships within industry communities.
      • Marketing Expertise: Experience in developing and executing field marketing programs that drive brand awareness and lead generation.
      • Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
      • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with sales, product, and marketing teams to drive business goals.
      • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for events.
      • Data-Driven: Ability to analyze event performance and community engagement metrics to optimize strategies.
      • Vendor Management: Experience managing relationships with external vendors and event organizers.
      • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Nice to haves:
        • Familiarity with the lab automation industry and scientific communities.
        • Understanding of digital marketing tactics to complement event and community strategies.
        • Experience managing event budgets and ensuring cost-effective execution.
