Job Description:

Our client, a nationwide metal manufacturer, has an immediate need for a Press Brake Mechanic, to join their winning team in Methuen.

The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.



Our candidate of choice will have 3+ years' experience setting up and operating press brakes.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Produce parts and tools from metal or other materials using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends, punches, or cuts into material.
Operators look at blueprints for the finished product, make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the bend, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.
Make sure machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output.
Look at the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Strong Communication skills
Self-Motivator
Attention to Detail
Ability to analyze blueprints and knowledge of Manufacturing Equipment
Aptitude for math, problem-solving and computer skills
3+ years' experience using a CNC Press Brake.
