Job Description:

The Recovery Coach Team Lead will report to the Recovery Coach Program Manager and have a leadership role, providing support to a cohort of recovery coaches, especially around hiring, patient support, onboarding, and achieving the recovery coach certification. The successful candidate should possess thorough understanding of the process of recovery, the importance of community and culture to addressing the barriers to successful recovery, familiarity with the function and culture of primary care and other medical settings, and a broad awareness of community resources and treatment options including the pathways of recovery. The individual is a dynamic, self-starter with experience working as a recovery coach and a commitment to the profession. The Team Lead will have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated capacity to relate well with others across a wide spectrum of needs and responsibilities.

What you will do:

  • Conducting all brief (5-10 minute) pre-screens for RC candidates; qualifying appropriate candidates to then be interviewed by the Recovery Coach Program Manager.

    Providing onboarding support to new hire

    o Complete the onboarding check-list

    o Scheduling the onboarding activitie

    o Share in educating/training new hire

    Supporting all recovery coaches through the CARC credentialing proce

    o Including documentation of individual and group hour

    o Keeping track of educational requirements for CARC

    o Keeping track of Continuing Education requirements for CARC

    o Assistance with completing the application process
  • Tracking each recovery coach's $200.00 budget for job performance and continuing education
  • T-Pass distribution
  • Provide support and coordination around the Annual Recovery Coach Collaborative and Retreats
  • Develop a strong understanding of Epic documentation requirements and provide training to existing or new recovery coaches as needed
  • Lead group supervision when Recovery Coach Program Manager is out of the office
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Recovery Coach Team as needed
  • Facilitate a group cohort meeting
  • Participate in and lead community recovery events throughout the year Skills and abilities:

    --- Demonstrated networking and partnership-building skills including experience working with diverse populations.

    --- Must be highly organized, motivated, and able to work well independently and in a team setting.

    --- Familiarity with harm reduction technique

    Qualifications

    What you will need:
    • Must have been in a recovery coach role full time for a minimum of 1 year, required, 2 years preferred
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • CARC preferred
    • Complete BSAS recovery coach supervisors training within 3 months of hire required.
