• Review the terms and conditions presented on customer contracts, including Order Forms and Master Service Agreement, to identify any non-standard arrangements and apply revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Collaborate with stakeholders outside the revenue accounting team (including sales, order administration, legal, product development) to gain understanding of specific customer contracts.
• Process customer contracts in Workday by setting up proper billing and revenue recognition schedules.
• Invoice customers accurately on a timely basis, as needed.
• Manage communication with customers regarding inquiries related to invoicing.
• Create ad-hoc reports related to billing, collections, and revenue.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, including quarterly reviews and the year-end audit.
• Support compliance-related tasks associated with Sarbanes-Oxley, including performing walkthroughs and providing input to changes in process flowcharts.
• Stay current on ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent to meet the requirements to sit for CPA exam.
  • Experience understanding customer contracts and setting up billing schedules.
  • Experience researching and resolving accounts receivable and billing issues.
  • Strong work ethic, communication skills, and a positive mindset.
  • Ability to work in a global context, with business users in different locations worldwide.
  • Workday Financials & Salesforce experience is preferred.
