Summary:The Vice President of Financial Operations will be
responsible for overseeing the operations of the financial
division, ensuring the integrity of financial data and reporting,
and maintaining a robust compliance program. This role requires a
deep understanding of financial systems, a keen eye for details,
exceptional leadership skills, and a strong commitment to upholding
the highest standards of compliance.This is an exempt position. The
Vice President of Financial Operations will report to the
CFO.Essential Functions of the Position:
- Oversee the daily operations of the finance department,
including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and
financial reporting.
- Partner with the CFO to develop and implement the
organization's financial strategy. Analyze financial data and make
forecasts to guide strategic decision-making.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports
in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, and Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Develop and implement a robust compliance program to ensure
adherence to all regulatory requirements. Stay abreast of
regulatory changes and oversee the update of internal policies and
procedures as needed.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation
strategies to protect the organization's financial health.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team. Foster
a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous
improvement.Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS) or
certification (CPA, CFA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in financial
management roles, with at least 10 years in a leadership
position.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial operations, financial
reporting, risk management, and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing
financial strategies and compliance programs.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and
develop a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software, financial systems, and
MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of
the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound
decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- A strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current
