Job Description:

Senior Front-Line Engineer for Percussion Software Inc. in Woburn, MA to

identify and resolve technical issues and software engineers with Java,

JavaScript, HTML, XML, and XSL in customer systems. Collaborate with

customer technical support team to identify issues and replicate in-house.

Interface with Product Management to prioritize work, including fixes and

patches. Analyze customer product interaction and usage. Develop well-

engineered code that conforms to accepted engineering standards. Improve

product code as needed (patch, re-factor, or re-write) to improve

workflows, performance and customer experience. Provide technical support

to customers and provide technical expertise for CMS products. Act as a

liaison between customers and product management to ensure all software

defects and feature requests are properly addressed. Contributes to

Percussion Community in the form of forum posts, best practice blog posts,

how-to guides, and video tutorials. Must be able to work 12 pm – 9 pm

shift. Requires Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering, Computer Applications, Information Systems, or related field

(willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two (2) years of

experience performing solutions development using Java or, alternatively, a

Bachelor's degree and five years of experience performing solutions

development using Java. Also requires demonstrated expertise: developing

J2EE applications and Web UI using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Servlets/JSP, and

XML, throughout all phases of the software development life-cycle;

developing multiple content management systems such as Documentum,

Alfresco, Vignette, Fatwire or Stellent, to build and manage websites;

performing unit testing, including manual testing of Java-based

applications; performing database development and maintenance using MSSQL

and MySQL, scripting, Oracle and Derby; interfacing with customer business

and IT professionals to perform requirements analysis; providing technical

support to client IT professionals and end-users, and validating

implementation process; troubleshooting, debugging, and refactoring

software applications; using SQL/HQL (JDBC/Hibernate); and performing
