See our full statement on diversity .Position: Elementary School Physical Education Teacher Location: Boston, MAStart date: August 1, 2024 POSITION OVERVIEW We have an 2024-2025 opening for a Physical Education Teacher. The position is located at our elementary school, located on 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park. There is dedicated gym space and equipment for PE classes. The compensation for Match teaching positions ranges from $61,812-$98,889 and is based on a candidate's prior years of teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis position includes a number of essential responsibilities, including (but not limited to):

• Teach grade-appropriate Physical Education classes;
• Develop daily lessons aligned with Match's Physical Education curriculum in collaboration with leadership team members;
• Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there;
• Participate actively in Match's coaching and professional development programming;
• Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; and

  • have a bachelor's degree;
  • have at least two years of full-time experience as a teacher, preferably in an urban education setting;
  • hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire;
  • believe that all students can and will succeed; and
