Job Description:
Duties: Contribute to the development of the company’s product
features, pricing and competitive position. Analyze business issues and
provide recommendations for the implementation of new rating plans,
underwriting rules, process improvements, and other initiatives to support
profitable growth and improve competitive position. Leverage predictive
modeling and other quantitative concepts to analyze data and trends.
Develop and present a comprehensive review of the products. Examine the
impact of changes in state regulatory environment on the product and
business processes and proposes necessary changes. Design, review, and
analyze monthly and quarterly reports used to manage the company’s
financial and operational performance. Analyze competitive data, and identify
trends and opportunities. Recommend areas for enhancement to products
to improve competitive position. Create annual loss and premium
budgets. Use tools and data systems to identify, test, and solve
strategic business issues within the company data and reports,
troubleshoot when there are inconsistencies, and present findings to
management. Collaborate with the Actuarial team and other functional areas
such as Customer Service, Marketing, Claims, Finance, Information
Systems, and Senior Management to assess the potential effects of product
changes and incorporate these considerations into recommendations. Requirements: Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics,
Actuarial Science or related quantitative field (or foreign education
equivalent) and two (2) years of experience developing quantitative reports
and predictive modeling methods in the insurance industry. Also
requires demonstrated expertise (“DE”): utilizing Tableau and Visual
Basic to build and automate reports, and Access and Excel to transfer
data and create table for insurance product profitability; DE
constructing and manipulating data using Python, R, SAS, and SQL to support
product analyses; DE conducting multivariate analyses and developing
predictive models using GLM, deep learning, machine learning, and
advanced statistical models; and DE performing segmentation analyses to
evaluate customer behavior and assess customer demographics. To apply
